What is Collision Insurance?

For YOUR Car

If you are in a car accident and your car is damaged or destroyed, collision insurance will cover the cost of repairing or replacing it.  This type of coverage is used when your car hits another car, or stationary object like a tree.  If another vehicle hits your car while it is parked, or hit and run scenarios, collision insurance will cover the repairs or replacement (after you pay your deductible) to your car.

Health Insurance in Nevada WITH a Subsidy

Qualifying for a Government SUBSIDY (Financial Assistance)

Qualifying for a SUBSIDY means you make less than 400% of what the Federal Government says is the “Federal Poverty Level”.  If you qualify for an Individual / Family Health Insurance Subsidy (financial assistance), it’s kind of like getting a Gift Card from the Government to help you pay your health insurance premiums.  This “subsidy” is sent to the insurance company to help you pay your premiums, and you’d pay the other portion of the premium to the insurance company.

Auto Insurance in Las Vegas, Nevada

Why Do I Need Auto Insurance?

Car accidents can be expensive.  In fact, a single collision can set you back tens of thousands of dollars, especially if medical bills are involved.  Obviously, not too many drivers can pay out of their pocket for unplanned accidental expenses like that.  But whether you can afford it or not, if you’re responsible for an accident, you’ll have to pay to get the other driver (and yourself) back to pre-accident condition.

What Happens If I Don’t Have Enough Liability Coverage?

In Nevada, every single driver is required to carry liability coverage. In the event of an accident, if the at-fault party has state minimum coverage, their insurer will pay for up to $15,000 in medical bills per person, up to $30,000 in medical bills for per incident, and up to $10,000 in property damage. Remember that this coverage takes care of the driver and passengers who were hit and does absolutely nothing for the repair bills of the person who caused the accident.
